My only regret in picking a basset hound for a fursona is their tail is like... boring generic dog tail. Big fluffy dog tails are the best type.
@Lar Good question! I don't know I was just trying to keep them sorta close...ish to what their breed actually looks like irl... well for a technicolored anthropomorphic cartoon dog lol.

Tho I get it, it keeps the character more grounded to something that's easily recognizable and lovable i suppose
But a big fluffy tail can also be pretty lovable so go with what your heart nags you towards
