Scaleway seem to have taken pains to make themselves unsuitable for the small-scale hosting they positioned themselves for just three years or so ago. :blobcatglaredrink:

Were it not for ISPs being kinda touchy about being bombarded by worms 24x7, I could just host this site from a Pi at home. :blobcatgooglyshrug:

There just doesn't seem to be a forward path from a VC1S (obsolete) with their funky netboot image to a at least a local boot Debian or Ubuntu image.

Yeah, I know, cattle not pets, but see above re: small-scale. I don't need a whole Kubernetes cluster to run a single Apache instance. And I don't need more than one. What I actually need is the tiny slice of non-residential network pipe.

@LionsPhil I've been with OVH (Kimsufi more specifically) for that very purpose and have not yet been terminally pissed off with them, FWIW. Main issue is that their entry level stuff is so popular, it's usually gone in minutes whenever they get inventory.
