just spent a while updating my website! added new commission examples bc the old ones were. very old. and tweaked the pricing a bit to better reflect how much my art is worth (more than before!)
around half of the gallery now has alt text, with the rest coming as soon as i have the energy.

ME awareness day: what does "fatigue" feel like
ME/CFS got saddled with a name that sucks. u say "chronic fatigue" and everyone's like "oh big mood" because tbf everyone is tired all the time in the late capitalist hellscape. so what's it feel like being on the receiving end of the "fatigue" in "CFS"?
at a metabolic level, it's something to do with an interaction of the immune system, the nervous system, the mitochondria. it's permanent, constant, there is literally no way to refresh ur energy.
i'm so close to making a #mlp video essay on how bad the tell your tale art style is compared to friendship is magic. bc seeing clips of tell your tale is Too Much for me

• Finally, and most importantly, in my mind - Mastodon and the Fediverse as a whole has a racism problem. It's a global platform with many white users - it's gonna happen.
As a result, we've dealt - as a platform - time and time again with white users rolling into the mentions of POC - more specifically, almost always Black users - demanding they CW discussion about the lives and struggles of being oppressed in America. _Do not do this._

one thing that is different here than commercial places you might be used to is that metrics doesn't matter. interactions do.
boost other people's work (or reply to them) engage in meaningful conversations.
the less you treat this place as a broadcast medium and more as a communication platform, the more you will enjoy the fediverse.
