man I am super-duper uncomfy with the way a lot of hardline racial justice advocates tend to discuss things because often it very, very quickly degenerates into bio-essentialist rhetoric that completely erases the lived experience of mixed-race people
like yeah, it fuckin' sucks when Rachel Dolezaal or whoever pretends to be black to dodge censure, but extended that into 'you can't identify as X race unless you're VISIBLY that race' is, itself, self-destructive racial profiling IMO
this pisses me off because in the fervor to slap-down genuinely exploitative and malicious use of unjustly-claimed racial experience by authority and celebrity figures, you're also catching a lot of people who can't fit into ANY community in the crossfire and leaving them out in the cold. this is not how you build solidarity with marginalized people, it's just establishing a separate form of racial hegemony
in general I'm just deeply suspicious of any form of social/racial justice that doesn't account for queer and mixed-race lives being something that is more than simply a theoretical exercise
