Me (a trans-nb game dev) and my Native American fiance are trying to raise money for him to move cross country and secure us a travel trailer for longterm housing. He has to be out of his current apartment by August 22nd.

We are trying to raise $5,000 which I know is a MAJOR ask, but even some of this would help us figure out alternative options to make this all work out.

If you're interested in art, I'm going to try to take on as many commissions as I possibly can in the next couple of months.

You can see my portfolio and examples here: jackalune.com/

Average rate is ~$50 for a colored and shaded fullbody, please DM me if you would be interested and I can give a more specific quote and estimated time of completion!

The support we've gotten so far on this means more than either of us could ever express.

Thank you so much for spreading the word + the donations so far!!

We're both hard at work on our end working on selling what we can and taking on extra work. Currently working on some adopts and such to hopefully post soon too!

Got an additional $50 via ko-fi, putting us at $1,060 total toward the goal! Thank you again!

Also up about $200 extra from a good ebay sale weekend.

Got a friend helping us keep an eye out for trailers in the ~$3000 range, juuust in case.

someone sent $100 via paypal.me and I THINK it's for this but I'm not sure?? The note is just "3"... so if you see this, thank you, please let me know if I am majorly misunderstanding LSKJDFSDf

I've added some funds via the "pledge" function, that were received via kofi/paypal outside the pool!

There's also an additional $246 that we've received via Lythbound purchases intended to go toward this.

We very likely won't hit the $5k but we've got enough to get my fiance moved and are negotiating loans with various family. Thank you so much to everyone who has helped and shared this post so far, it's meant the world to me and my fiance.

@jack My disabled butt isn't gonna be able to help with funding, but I wish you both luck.

I would like to hear more about your situation, also. It sounds like you have an interesting story to tell.

Also, what sort of trailer are you trying to get?

@relee Thank you for the well wishes!

And I definitely don't mind talking about it! I'd probably get a little too rambly/long format to put everything on Mastodon LOL, so I'll have to either set up a blog or if you're on Discord, I don't mind chatting!

As far as a trailer, what we're looking at is basically any camping type trailer that's fully enclosed and has a kitchen/bathroom/bed areas built in. Beyond that, we can't afford to be too picky haha

@jack Trailers can be interesting. They're a little cramped, even the big ones, but they're mobile. You can hook them up to a vehicle and go somewhere else. Campgrounds are all over the U.S. and Canada, and shockingly cheap. Even if you just have a tent, it's better than the street or the back seat!

I'll send a DM with my Discord info, though I'm about to do something irl so I might not be able to add you right away.
