I've been doing groundskeeping tasks these past couple of days and it feels so good to be done with them and know the house and yard are ready for winter :blobcheer: :blobcoffee:

I do have a bunch of really really big (like 75lbs each) logs from a neighbor's tree that I need to split :blobeyes:

…but I don't have an axe for the job yet, and frankly, I'm not sure I'm strong enough to split those giant things! :blobthinkingeyes:

@mawr an excuse to shop for a nice 10lb sledge and biiiig splitting maul though

@lizzubee Just to split it into firewood sized logs and let it season for burning next year :blob_aww:

@Mycroft Nope! I only permit a small patch of lawn, and I let that stay long over the winter since it stops growing and keeps better that way. I'll buzz it in the spring :blobuwu:

The rest of the property I've let run wild with the local wildflowers that carry on the wind :blob_aww: Just plucked out the unpleasant looking ones until I had a nice variety of flowers throughout the year :blobcheerbounce:
