I think if America could take one thing from Canada and like roll with it besides the super obvious stuff (like having socialized healthcare) it would be taking your shoes off at the door so you don't track in dirt. If you don't like walking around in socks there is other options too (like indoor only shoes or slippers).
@FamiliarAlien I'm American and never wear shoes inside the house. I always get weirded out when learning other people apparently do this
